YONKERS, N.Y. -- From Wednesday, June 8 until Sunday, June 12, the annual Westchester Magazine Food & Wine Festival will take place in several area locations.

The event has grown to be the premier “boutique” wine and food event in the Northeast. Over the course of five days, guests attending the festival will experience everything from Food & Fashion at Bloomingdales, a burger blast with a competition to be crowned Westchester’s best burger, a grand tasting village at Kensico Dam featuring more than 200 wines and 50 restaurants, a junior chef's academy, a kid’s pasta event hosted at Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, celebrity cooking demonstrations, and the exclusive Tastemakers event at the Ritz Carlton in White Plains.

The Tastemakers event on Friday evening will showcase 20 of the top chefs and restaurants in Westchester paired with some of the greatest wines being produced in the world. Everyone from Andy Nusser, Eric Gabrinowitz, Dave di Bari and Christian Petrone from restaurants including The Inn at Pound Ridge, X2O, Bedford Post and many more will be on hand to present two unique signature dishes to attending guests.

The world renowned wine expert Kevin Zraly and the people from Varmax Liquor pantry in Port Chester have assembled an incredible lineup of wines to pair with the dishes from these 20 great chefs. Wines like Dominus, Louis Roderer Crystal Champagne, Zind Humbrecht, Classified Bordeaux and premier cru Burgundies will be poured all evening.

This event will be the “Toast of the Town” so don't miss it. I'll see you there!
