Peekskill's 12 Grapes Will Ring In New Year

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. -- If you haven't made plans for New Year's Eve, look no further than Westchester's restaurants to help you ring 2014 in delicious style.

It's not too late to make reservations. Here are four restaurants that are holding New Year's Eve celebrations: 

42 The Restaurant in White Plains is celebrating the new year with a cocktail and dance party. $210 gets you three unlimited buffets, two DJ's, open bar and a champagne toast at midnight - all while enjoying the sky high views of the White Plains' ball drop.

If you're simply looking for a meal, they also are offering a prix fixe dinner at 5:00 p.m. for $65 plus tax, 20-percent gratuity and beverages; and 7:30 p.m. for $80 plus tax, 20-percent gratuity and beverages. 

42 the Restaurant is located at 1 Renaissance Place. 

Moderne Barn in Armonk is offering two prix fixe dinner times. At the first seating, enjoy lobster bisque, house cured tuna loin, crispy duck breast, grilled swordfish, raspberry linzer torte and petit beignets. The first seating is served at 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and is $55 per person plus tax and gratuity.

For the second seating there will be some special additions, including foie gras and red snapper. The second seating is served 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., and is $95 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Moderne Barn is located at 430 Bedford Rd. 

If you're looking for something a little unconventional, look no further than NoMa Social in New Rochelle, which will be holding a Mardi-Gras masquerade.

All three packages offered include live music, dancing, open bar, party favors, complimentary parking, coat check, live midnight ball drop and a champagne toast. 

Packages range from $60-85. 

NoMa Social is located at 1 Radisson Plaza.

12 Grapes in Peekskill is offering an early dinner seating at 5:30 p.m., and a dinner and dance party at 8:30 p.m.

The menu includes items like lobster bisque, prime New York strip steak, duck breast, sea scallops with Prosecco-crab risotto and handmade petit-fours.

The Dinner and Dance party is $110 per person and includes a 3-course dinner, 3 hours of live music and dancing, along with a Prosecco toast at midnight with hats and noisemakers.

You can also participate in the "12 grapes at midnight," which is a Spanish tradition involving eating a grape with each bell strike at midnight. According to the tradition, it will lead to a year of prosperity. 

Reservations are required and only guests 21 and over will be admitted.
