PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- We asked for your favorite photos and got a flurry of replies. Among them: A shot of Onofrio's Pizzeria from Peekskill resident Joel Heumann who wrote in with his review.
"Nice and piping hot," he said. "Hot enough to sear your upper palate if you're not careful. The crust was nice and thin, but thick and heavy enough to support the very generous amount of cheese on top. For my taste, could've been a touch crispier. But what really stood out was how light everything tasted. Certainly not bad by any means, just nothing that jumped out at ya as remarkable. As a total experience, hot, light to the point of almost fluffy, which was a great experience and very, very filling."
The verdict? He said it's a draw between Onofrio's and Nonna's.
