Titled "Beyond a Dream to a Vision," the celebration included performances by the combined interfaith adult and youth choirs, the United Methodist Church of Peekskill's Praise Dancers, the Temple Israel Singers, as well as a presentation of the MLK Community Service Award, which went to Temple Israel of Westchester.
"I think it's important to be here, important for everybody to come together and support equality, people's rights, the right for liberty and happiness," said Ron Goldberg, who was in attendance with his wife Robin, and children, Ryan, 9, and Jordan, 6, of Ossining. "That's part of what it's all about. People of different races need to come together and support each other."
