A record number of restaurants, 205 and growing, already have registered for the two-week culinary event that offers diners the chance to experience the best restaurants of the region at a fraction of the normal price point.

“We are thrilled that the Hudson Valley’s ultimate culinary event continues to expand and that the farm-to-table movement of the region continues to gain support,” said Janet Crawshaw, publisher of The Valley Table magazine, presenting sponsor of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.

“We are excited to welcome 27 new, exquisite restaurants to the growing list of participants, including the newly opened Hudson Room, showcasing a globally inspired, locally farmed menu located in Peekskill; Daryl's House in Pawling, mixing famous music and eclectic food; and Pangea, The Culinary Institute’s brand-new pop-up restaurant only open until June.”

The award-winning Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz and the historic Bear Cafe in Woodstock are among the new Ulster County participants. Some of the expanded offerings in Rockland County include Sparkill Steakhouse in Sparkill, Prohibition River in Nyack and Giostra in Tappan.

HVRW features prix-fixe, three-course dinners for $29.95 and lunches for $20.95. Participating restaurants span throughout 114 miles across Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Ulster and Columbia counties, making HVRW among the largest restaurant week events in the United States. Many of the participating chefs focus on sourcing seasonal and sustainable products — often sourcing from surrounding farms — and represent a wide variety of cuisines, including Argentinean, French, German, Greek, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Mediterranean, Mexican, New American, Thai and Swiss.
