Friday, March 8
Tales For Tots: 11 a.m. The Field Library hosts a free book reading for children ages 2 and up every Friday. Peekskill Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
RCC Of Keon Spaghetti Fundraiser: 6 to 9 p.m. RCC of Keon hosts its 3rd annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to benefit Nor-West Special Services. Keon Center, 2 John Walsh Boulevard, Peekskill.
Saturday, March 9
Pre-St. Patrick's Parade: 11 a.m. The Elks Club hosts an all-you-can-eat brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the Peekskill St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Members of the Elks will be serving up eggs, pancakes, cereals, sausages, bacon, muffins, toast, fruit, juices, coffee and more. Suggested donations: Adults: $15, children 5 - 12 years old: $5, under 5 years old: Free. Reservations not required. Elks Lodge, 1038 Brown St., Peekskill.
Peekskill St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 3 p.m. Bagpipers, bands, community groups, businesses, floats, fire trucks, ambulances and dignitaries will be part of the 24th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Peekskill. A police motorcycle escort will signal the start the parade, followed by Pipe Major Joe Brady, Jr., who also leads the New York City St. Patrick’s Parade. The Parade Route starts at the Firehouse on Crompond Road, makes a left on First Street, right on Union Avenue, right on Central Avenue, left on North Division Street, right on Main Street, right on North James Street and right on Brown Street. The reviewing stand is located on the corner of James & Park Streets. This year’s Grand Marshal is Deborah Carlin Polhill. The parade is co-sponsored by the City of Peekskill and led by an all-volunteer group. Crompond Road, Peekskill.
The Quiet Man St. Patrick’s Events: 3 p.m. The Quiet Man Public House hosts St. Patrick’s Parade events all day. Live entertainment and specials to be featured starting at 3 p.m. The Quiet Man Public House, 15 North Division St., Peekskill.
