Monday, Sept. 24

  • Teacher in the Library: 4-6 p.m. Students can get help with homework from a certified teacher. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
  • Junior Critics Book Club: 4:30 p.m. A book club for children in grades 5-7. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
  • Peekskill Committee of the Whole Meeting: 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room in Peekskill City Hall. 840 Main St.
  • Peekskill Common Council Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the upstairs Common Council Chambers. Peekskill City Hall, 840 Main St.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

  • Check It Out Book Club: 4:30 p.m. A book club for children in grades 3-4. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
  • Peekskill City School District Board of Education Meeting: 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Peekskill Middle School cafeteria. 212 Ringgold St.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

  • Lego In The Library: 2 p.m. Children can take part in fun projects using Lego building blocks. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.

Thursday, Sept. 27

  • Teacher in the Library: 4-6 p.m. Students can get help with homework from a certified teacher. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
  • Peekskill Tale Waggers: 6:30 p.m. Hear stories told by city residents of all ages. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
  • Sessions with JP Patrick and Friends: 8:30-11 p.m. Join sax player and vocalist JP Patrick and his band as they rehearse, work and play for one another and for you. "Sessions" gives audience members an up-close and personal view of what it takes to put together a live performance. Admission is free. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.
  • Jason Waters: 10 p.m. The popular area musician will perform a free live set. Birdsall House, 970 Main St.

Friday, Sept, 28

  • The Frank Kohl Quartet: 7:30-10:30 p.m. The noted jazz guitarist will perform with his band. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.
  • Stax Of Soul: 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Stax of Soul performs the sweet soul music of Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Eddie Floyd, Sam and Dave, and Booker T & the MGs, to name a few. Admission is a $5 for all, including diners. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.
  • Phineas and The Lonely Leaves: 10 p.m. The popular area band will perform a free live set. Birdsall House, 970 Main St.
