PEEKSKILL, N.Y. ? A fundraiser for Sandy Hook and Hurricane Sandy relief leads a busy schedule of weekend events in Peekskill.

Friday, Feb. 15

Painted Betty: 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The band blends elements of county, jazz, blues, and tango into a unique sound. A six-piece acoustic band, Betty features two female lead singers. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.

Romantic Valentine's Weekend With E'lissa Jones: Her stylings range from folk and jazz to rock and R&B, and she’s performed background vocals with blues legend Wilson Pickett and toured with Ray Charles, Al Green and many more. $10 entertainment fee, or $5 with a dinner entrée. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Over The Top: 9 p.m.  A special Valentine’s Day menu will be offered starting at 5 p.m., and the band hits the stage at 9 p.m. The Harbor at Charles Point, 5 John Walsh Blvd.

This Old Ghost Record Release Party: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Join the band in the second-floor pub as it plays tunes from its new CD, “Family Room.” Special guests Charles Sztyk and DJ Blaze will also perform. $10 cover charge for Hoppy Hour from 10 to 11 p.m. Peekskill Brewery, 47 S. Water St.

Saturday, Feb. 16

Native Soul: 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The jazz foursome will perform original organic fusion songs. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.

Stax of Soul: 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. Eight-piece band covers STAX recording artists Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Eddie Floyd, Sam & Dave, Booker T & the MGs and more. $10 entertainment fee or $5 with a dinner entrée. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Sunday, Feb. 17

Help 2Sandy Benefit Concert: 1 to 9 p.m. "Remember and Rebuild" is the message of this non-stop day of music. Proceeds will be equally shared between Sandy Hook Elementary School relief and the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy fund. The lineup includes John Abercrombie, Lawrence Anthony, John Basili, Les Bloome, The Temple Dudes, Mania, John Castleman, Dean Friedman & the South St. Fusion Project, Derrick James, Sanjra Livingston, Guy Lowe, Waldron Ricks, Cheryl Skinner, Mark Tonelli, and T-Ray & the Smoking Section and drummer Andy Polay, who is producing the concert. Kids Open Mike Night: A showcase for musicians and singers ages 17 and under. Bring guitar, bass, sax, flute or whatever instrument you play. The club has a drum kit, keyboard, guitar and microphones. Sign-up begins at 5:15 p.m. Kids under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. There is a $10 burger special for all the kids.
