PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – It’s Thanksgiving week, and there are plenty of events going on across Peekskill.

Monday

Peekskill Committee of the Whole Meeting: 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room in Peekskill City Hall. 840 Main St.

Tuesday

Peekskill City Schools Early Dismissal: Students up to eighth grade will be dismissed early for parent-teacher conferences.

Wednesday

Thanksgiving Eve ’80s Party: 9 p.m.-1 a.m. The Fred Savages will perform ’80s favorites from Peter Gabriel, Ozzy Ozborne, Billy Idol, The Police, The Cars, U2, Stray Cats and more. Opening act is Alex Sciglio & Trifecta. Admission is $10, $5 with a dinner entrée, or $5 after 10:30 p.m. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Phineas and the Lovely Leaves: 10 p.m. The popular local band will perform a free Thanksgiving Eve show. Birdsall House, 970 Main St. 

Thursday

Schools Closed: The Peekskill City School District and Hendrick Hudson School District will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Dinner: 11 a.m. United Methodist Church of Peekskill will host a free holiday meal, starting at noon. 1040 Main St.

Friday

Schools Closed: The Peekskill City School District and Hendrick Hudson School District will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.

The Marc Von Em Band: 9:30 p.m. Von Em’s sound is rooted in blues, folk, rock and reggae. Marc has toured nationally and internationally with the Rob Thomas Band. Admission is $10, or $5 with a dinner entrée. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.
