Friday, Jan. 11

Peekskill High School Basketball Alumni Night and Gary "Porky" Male Dedication Ceremony Reception: 4 p.m. The school will honor the late Gary Male with a special ceremony as part of this year’s event. Peekskill High School, 1072 Elm St.

Peekskill High School Boys Junior Varsity Basketball: 5 p.m. Peekskill takes on Horace Greeley High School.

Suspicious Gadgets: 7:30 p.m. Just off of his performance at the Beacon Theater in Cyndi Lauper's holiday benefit concert, Peter Valentine returns to the BeanRunner Cafe with Amanda Homi and friends. Peter has performed with artists as diverse as Carly Simon, Tony Bennett, Pat Benatar, Bruce Springsteen and Yoko Ono, among others. Peter was the musical director for the first national tour of "Footloose," performed in "Rent" and had a principal role in the original Broadway cast of "The News." Admission is $10. Harry Rios & the Nippy Thieves: 9:30 p.m. Rios is a multi-instrumentalist, music educator and R&B vocalist who has also spent time as a studio musician and producer. His credits include projects with Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Kay Gee from Naughty by Nature, Common and Slick Rick. Admission is a $5 entertainment fee for all, including diners. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Saturday, Jan. 12

Saturday Crafts: 11 a.m. Join in a simple children’s craft project led by library staff. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.

Alva Anderson: 7:30 p.m. Violist and vocalist Alva Anderson moves easily between musical genres, playing with the Harlem Symphony, Allegro Chamber Ensemble or Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, to Jazz in July in Amherst, Mass., the LGC Jazz Festival in Brooklyn, and the Saratoga Jazz Festival in Saratoga, N.Y. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 South St.

BaseCamp: 9:30 p.m. BaseCamp is a six-piece band that performs soul-filled R&B classics from Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Sade, Mary J. Blige, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Charlie Wilson, The Isley Brothers and more. Admission is a $10 entertainment fee, or $5 with a dinner entrée. There is a $15 minimum per person for table reservations. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Sunday, Jan. 13

Greg Westhoff's Westchester Swing Band: 5:30 p.m. This 18-piece big band features a full horn section with five saxes, four trombones, four trumpets, and bandleader Greg Westhoff. The band performs classic swing music, Sinatra, Broadway selections and songs from the '40s, '50s and more. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Noo Moves Artist Appreciation Show: 5 p.m. The ultimate variety show, featuring Ibrahim Siddiq (a.k.a. P.O.E.T.), Q the Prophet (gospel, hip-hop), and Steve Chizmadia (acoustic guitar). Doors open at 4 p.m., the show starts promptly at 5 p.m. Admission is $5. BeanRunner Café, 201 South St.
