Friday, Nov. 30

Ray Blue Quartet: 7:30 p.m. Peekskill’s own tenor saxophonist Ray Blue has toured around the world. His band includes Roy Asaf (piano), Beldon Bullock (bass) and Alvin Atkinson Jr. (drums). Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.

Mustard Seed Magic: 9:30 p.m. This four-piece band performs songs from Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Janis Joplin, Adelle and more. Dance to the best pop, funk, rock, R&B and Motown tunes. Admission is a $5 entertainment fee for all, including diners. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Kids Activities Open House Tour: 1-4 p.m. The Peekskill Business Improvement District is hosting an open house tour of children's activities available around town, from magic, art, boxing and karate to digital filmmaking and music production. Holiday Tree Lighting: 4:30 p.m. The holiday tree lighting, organized in partnership with the Peekskill Recreation Department and the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, takes place at the gazebo at North Division and Park streets. Live choral music, a visit from Santa and hot chocolate are included.

Clifton Anderson Quintet: 7:30 p.m. A featured member of the Sonny Rollins group from 1983 to 2009, Anderson toured worldwide and appeared on 10 of Rollins' recordings. Anderson's release, "Decade," earned critical acclaim, contributing to his nomination from the Jazz Journalists Association for 2009 Trombonist of the Year. His latest recording, "And So We Carry On," was released in September. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.

Steve Wexler & The Top Shelf: 9:30 p.m. Members of this 12-piece, horn-driven Motown, soul, pop and funk band have performed with The Temptations, The Tonight Show Orchestra, Al Green, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen and Carly Simon, to name a few. Admission is a $15 entertainment fee or $10 with a dinner entrée. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Peekskill Project V Docent Tour: 1 p.m. A docent-led free tour of Peekskill Project V Exhibitions at the museum. Admission and events are free and open to the public for free arts day. Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, 1701 Main St.

“Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child”: 4 p.m. Admission is free. Screening of the documentary “Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child,” followed by a Q&A with director Tamra Davis.
