Steamboats on the Hudson River: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A lecture and book signing with author William H. Ewen Jr. Ewen will explore the cradle of American steamboating, the Hudson River, and present an illustrated lecture with many photos of famous steamboats from the local area. Coffee is at 10:30 a.m., and the lecture begins at 11 a.m. Field Library, 4 Nelson Ave.
Peter Calo: Most recognized for his work with Carly Simon, Calo has recorded and performed with such legendary Grammy Award winners as James Taylor and Hall and Oates, and renowned record producer Phil Ramone. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.
Live Society: This eight-piece band puts on a sound and stage show that's a mix of pop rock, indy and classic Motown soul. Noo Moves Entertainment's Artist Appreciation Show: 4 – 6 p.m. The ultimate variety show hosted by Chance and Noodle. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5. BeanRunner Café, 201 S. Division St.
Kids Open Mic Night: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Bring your guitar, bass, sax, flute or whatever instrument you play. 12 Grapes has a drum kit, keyboard, guitar and microphones – and a stage for you to shine. Peekskill Veterans Day Ceremony: 10 a.m. The Peekskill American Legion hosts the annual ceremony at Memorial Park. City and county officials will attend.
