American Health Care Association Honors Somers Manor

SOMERS, N.Y. --  Somers Manor Nursing Home has earned the Tier three recognition level as part of the American Health Care Association’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program (QIRP) for achieving three Quality Initiative goals in safely reducing hospital re-admissions, safely reducing the off-label use of anti-psychotics, and increasing staff stability.

Somers Manor will be honored at an upcoming quality symposium hosted by the American Health Care Association in February of 2014. 

The American Health Care Association is a non-profit federation of affiliate state health organizations, representing more than 11,000 non-profit and for-profit nursing facility, assisted living, developmentally-disabled, and sub-acute care providers that care for approximately one million elderly and disabled individuals each day. 

Somers Manor Nursing Home, Inc. is a 300 bed health-care facility with skilled specialties in long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation.
