Peekskill's Field Library Gets Ready For Poetry Slam

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Field Library in Peekskill invites children and adults to celebrate National Poetry Month at its annual Poetry Slam, Jr! on Monday, April 11.

Children and adults can share a poem they love (written by themselves or by a favorite poet).

Good listeners of all ages are invited to be a part of the audience. Refreshments will be available following the program, and every child can pick out a free book.
