The annual Westchester All Stars Christmas Concert helps raise awareness and funds for disabled veterans. All funds raised will be distributed to organizations for wounded veterans, including The Bob Woodruff Foundation, Veterans Adaptive Sports Inc. and The Tower of Hope.
“The concert is our way of supporting the men and women who wore the uniform and made enormous sacrifices to defend our country,” said Bill Edwards, founder of the Westchester All Stars. “This is our third year, and with each concert the support from artists and the community continues to grow. Last year, we raised more than $20,000, and this year we've set our goal at $50,000. We believe we can exceed that goal because, no matter what a person’s politics may be, everyone seems to have embraced our philosophy: ‘Hate war but love the American warrior.’”
This year’s Westchester All Stars Christmas Concert features Gene Cornish, Earl Slick, British violin virtuoso Daisy Joplin, Joni Blondel, Bill Edwards, Jon Cobert, Kristen Capolino, Tom Dudley the Blues Buddha, Dave Keyes, Duchess Di, Scott Staton, Chuck St. Troy and The Renovators.
The show will also feature screen stars Tony Darrow from “The Sopranos” and "Goodfellas”; Dominic Chianese, Uncle Junior from “The Sopranos”; and actress Jen Lilley from “Days of Our Lives."
Blocks of tickets are offered to veterans, staff and volunteers from the Castle Point and Montrose Campus of the Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Health Care System.
