Planned by the This is Me Foundation, and sponsored by The Quiet Man Public House, all proceeds from the plunge go towards college scholarships for local students who have faced adversity, or helped a friend through adversity, as well as national scholarships to students who have alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss.

The event will be held at noon at the Peekskill Riverfront Green. The public is invited to watch and cheer on the brave plungers. Last year's event raised more than $14,000.

If interested in plunging, participants are being accepted and registration is required. To sign-up, click here and sign-up by Saturday.
