Here is the full list of December’s festive events:

Downtown Kids Activities Open House Tour and Tree Lighting, Saturday, Dec. 1, noon to 7 p.m.

The Peekskill BID is hosting an open house tour of  kids activities available around town, from magic, art, boxing and karate to digital film making and music production. For more information on all of the tour stops, see the Open House Tour Schedule.

The holiday tree lighting, organized in partnership with the Peekskill Recreation Department and the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, takes place at 4:30 p.m. at the gazebo at the corner of N. Division and Park streets. Live choral music, Santa and hot chocolate is included.

Winter Windows Art Crawl and Pop Up Gallery reception, Saturday, Dec. 8, 5 to 8 p.m.

The Peekskill BID is partnering with the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art to offer a tour of illuminated artwork installed in downtown store windows. The tour includes two live "art happenings" on downtown streets and concludes with a reception at a pop-up art gallery at 906 Main St. exhibiting the work of Peekskill Project V and other local artists. For more information, check out the Winter Windows Art Crawl Map. In addition, visit the Peekskill Arts Alliance small works exhibit at Scott Camera & Studio, 12 S. Division St., from Dec. 1 to Dec. 23.

Santacon Pub & Eat Crawl, Saturday, Dec. 15, 6 p.m.

The Peekskill BID is organizing the second annual Pub & Eat crawl to show why downtown has become a leading foodie/refreshment destination in the Hudson Valley. Why Santacon? Because crawlers dressed as Santa (or in other holiday-inspired costumes) receive special discounts along the way. So join the Santacon tradition in downtown Peekskill and see what the fun is about. For more information on all of the tour stops, see the Santacon Pub & Eat Crawl Tour Schedule.

"Yes Virginia, The Musical," Saturday, Dec. 22,  2 and 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, 6 p.m.

This inspiring story of the little girl who taught the world to believe is presented by the Macy's Believe Foundation and by Antonia Arts and Rising Stars. The one-weekend-only performances provide the perfect reason to bring the whole family to downtown Peekskill to get in the holiday spirit. Special guests include Daisy Jopling and cast members of “Annie” and “Cats.” Paramount Theater, 1008 Brown St. To reserve tickets, visit the online box office or purchase tickets at the box office one hour before show times.
