Red House Entertainment, which recently took over operations and renamed the Paramount Center For The Arts to the Paramount Hudson Valley, is set to host a new monthly comedy series called "Rolling in the Aisles." The first show on July 12 is set to feature Yorktown's own John Iavarone as the show's emcee.

"We're going to have pretty diverse programming and we wanted to have a new comedy series with local talent as one of our big shows," said Red House Spokesperson Abigail Adams. "We are really excited that John is going to help kick things off for us. We are thrilled really to have local talent because this theater is so important to the local community. To have someone from Westchester start this relaunch off was just perfect for us."

Originally from the Bronx, John Iavarone currently lives in Yorktown Heights and said he was ecstatic that Red House wanted him to open the night.

"It's a beautiful theater close to home and this show means so much to the community so this is really a dream," Iavarone said Monday. "To bring back that theater and to know that you're being called upon to do the first new show, it's a beautiful story and I couldn't ask for more."

Iavarone has performed at The Comic Strip Live, Dangerfields, Mohegan Sun and won first place on MTV’s Improv Comedy Show, according to a press release.

"I love the Peekskill area and Northern Westchester is just such a beautiful place and that theater is so wonderful," Iavarone said. "To hear that it got remodeled and that they're bringing it back, I can't wait. Theaters like this don't exist anymore so it's a really special thing to be able to perform there."

Iavarone, who regularly announces new shows on his website, will open for Philadelphia-native Buddy Fitzpatrick and New York's Joe DeVito. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the Paramount's new website
