Suspicious Vehicle, Underage Drinking Party Top North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. - Police in North Castle are investigating a suspicious driver who sped away from a local resident when approached about why they were standing there for so long.

The North Castle Police Department received a call on Friday, Sept. 8 from a complainant saying that there was a suspicious driver parked on Bayberry Road for an extended period of time. When approached by the woman, who wanted to see what they were doing, the driver sped off before she could get a license plate number.

Police said that the vehicle is a black Dodge Charger with a driver’s side tail light out. The incident is under investigation.

Other items on the North Castle Police Department blotter from Thursday, Sept. 7 through Thursday, Sept. 14 include:

  • Several teens were busted later that night on Bayberry Road, after an anonymous caller reported to police that there was a loud party with underage drinking, with loud music and people outside making noise. Officers were dispatched to the residence and spoke with the homeowners, who were on scene. Police said the party was disbursed without further incident.
  • Police were dispatched to Stop & Shop on North Broadway in North White Plains after it was reported that a group of cars had been racing on Central Westchester Parkway and were now congregating in the parking lot. Police spoke with the racers and they were sent away from the lot.
  • A skimming device was found on one of the pumps at Exxon Mobil on North Broadway. The case is being investigated.
