Transplant Group Bring Support And Encouragement To Patients And Families

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Do you know anyone who needs a heart, kidney, liver, lung or pancreas transplant? If the answer is yes, help may be closer than you think. 

Transplant Support Organization, which helps local transplant candidates, recipients, their families, will be featured on Paul Feiner's WVOX radio broadcast.

An organization called Transplant Support Organization works to save lives by providing education relating to organ donation and transplants. They promote organ and tissue donations and give support and encouragement to transplant candidates, recipients, their families and donor families.

On tomorrow's WVOX radio program, Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner will be interviewing Ira Cooperman, Leonard Andrew, Howard Romanoff and Ted Lawson -- all members of the Transplant Support Group. 

The program airs from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on 1460 AM or online here. Listeners are invited to ask questions about heart, liver, kidney or other kinds of transplants during the program by calling in at 914-636-0110.

The next meeting for Transplant Support Organization will be held on Feb. 17 at the Greenburgh Health Center. Speakers will be Bill Becker and Gerard Marinaccio who will share their transplant journeys. Executive Director Judith Watson will also attend.
