Monday, May 21

Learning Leaders Panel: 5:45 to 8 p.m. The Southern Connecticut chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD SCC) will host its popular Learning Leaders panel. Speaking will be Paul Mayer (Altana USA), Kathleen McGuire (Bayer Healthcare), Vicki McGrath (GE Capital) and Deborah Wheelock (Mercer). Norwalk Inn & Conference Center, 99 East Avenue, Norwalk.

Coalition of Norwalk Neighborhoods: 6:30 to 8 p.m. The monthly meeting of the Coalition of Norwalk Neighborhood Associations will be held at city hall. City hall, first floor lounge, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk.

Talk on Kayaking in Norwalk: 7 to 9 p.m. Come hear all the details and ask questions on kayaking the area around Darien, Norwalk and Westport including rivers, coast and islands off-shore. Kayak safety and island wildlife will also be discussed. East Norwalk Library, 51 Van Zant Street, Norwalk.

Tuesday, May 22

Norwalk Republican Town Committee: 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Norwalk RTC is meeting to select candidates for (single town) State Reps. Districts 137th (announced candidate Joanne Romano) and 140th, Registrar of Voters (Karen Lyons) as well as Justices of the Peace. Norwalk Inn and Conference Center, 99 East Avenue, Norwalk.

Special Board of Education Meeting: 6 to  8 p.m. The board of education will be holding a special meeting in the Common Council Chambers at city hall. City hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk.

Wednesday, May 23

Women's Pelvic Health: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Pelvic issues can often have a major impact on a woman’s lifestyle. Pelvic health problems affect more than one in every four women over the age of 40 in the United States.  These problems can range from being inconvenient and embarrassing to debilitating and painful.  To address these issues and solutions, Norwalk Hospital is holding a community health. Historical Commission Meeting: 7  to  9 p.m. The historical commission is holding its regular meeting. Norwalk Museum, 41 North Main Street, Norwalk.

Thursday, May 24

The Whole Hog in SoNo: 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Four of Connecticut’s superstar chefs with a passion for nourishing neighbors with fresh, locally-grown ingredients will gather at the Clarke Showroom in SoNo for a delectable evening of wine, vine and swine! Guests will literally go “whole hog,” sampling unique culinary interpretations, while supporting Wholesome Wave, a non-profit dedicated to making healthy local food accessible to everyone. Veterans Hall of Honor at city hall: 6:45 to 8 p.m. The City of Norwalk is proud to announce the coming of a Veterans Hall of Honor to be established at city hall, which will be dedicated to those who have given so much for our freedom.  Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk.
