Yonkers To Resurface Ashburton, Roberts Avenues

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The resurfacing of Ashburton and Roberts avenues in Yonkers will create detours for motorists until Monday, May 19.

Crews will begin resurfacing the westbound portion of Ashburton Avenue on Tuesday, May 13, at 7 a.m. Eastbound traffic will be allowed to travel through the work section. 

Westbound motorists will be directed south on Nepperhan Avenue to Walsh Road, then west on Walsh Road to Palisade Avenue, then north on Palisade Avenue to Ashburton Avenue.

The eastbound side of Ashburton will be resurfaced on Wednesday, May 14, between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Motorists looking to travel east will be directed south on Nepperhan Avenue to Walsh Road, then west on Walsh Road to Palisade Avenue, then north on Palisade Avenue to Ashburton Avenue.

Resurfacing on Roberts Avenue will be completed on Thursday, May 15; Friday, May 16; and Monday, May 19. 

During work hours Roberts Avenue will be closed to all through traffic. 

Detours will be posted for motorists.
