The events are: Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the multipurpose room at the Castle Point campus, 41 Old Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls; and Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Buillding 15, room 16 at the FDR Montrose campus, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose.
Both events are free for veterans. Veterans will be able to solve issues with MyHealtheVet, telehealth and other issues while learning more about rehabilitation, life safety, positive affirmation and more. Health screenings and nutrition tips will also be available.
The education series includes mindfulness and health at 10 a.m.; seizure first aid at 10:30 a.m.; diabetes basics at 11:15 a.m.; heart failure at noon; herb and dietary supplement facts and myths at 1 p.m.; and quality-of-life matters at 1:30 p.m.
