Garden Club Of Peekskill Presents 'Soar With The Birds Of Westchester'

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Garden Club of Peekskill and the Field Library invites the community to participate in a presentation, "Soar with the Birds of Westchester," by Anne Swaim, executive director Saw Mill River Audubon Society at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The meeting will be held at the Peekskill Library at 4 Nelson Ave.

Explore the variety of birds found in Westchester County through this multimedia program of beautiful photography by local residents along with video clips and sound. Find out about the diversity of habitats from the Hudson River to the Long Island Sound that has resulted in more than 300 species of birds seen in Westchester. 

Learn about bird friendly neighborhood practices and the success stories of people helping birds, including the recovery of the Eastern bluebird, New York's state bird, and our national bird, the Bald eagle.

It is a free program with refreshments provided by The Garden Club of Peekskill. Free parking is available along the street and in the parking garage, after 5 p.m.
