Cops: Two Men Swindle Cash/Jewelry From Stamford Woman

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford woman was swindled out of a “few hundred” dollars and some jewelry by two men Tuesday afternoon.

According to police a man approached her and asked for money saying he would give her more in return later, she accepted after another man gave the first some money. The three then went to the bank and to the woman’s apartment so she could give the man money and jewelry.

She called the police after neither man showed up at Hart School to divvy up the larger sum as they originally planned, police said.

Both men were described as black and about 65-years-old, police said.
