RYE BROOK, N.Y. – Beatles fans: Get set to rock!

County Executive Rob Astorino celebrated “Beatlemania” today at the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook alongside Mark and Carol Lapidos, The Fest for Beatles Fans founders, and got a behind-the-scenes look at the convention’s weekend-long festivities. Several highly-acclaimed tribute bands and musicians joined the line-up to perform several songs that will be featured in the festival.

Among the musicians attending: Multi-million-selling recording artist Gary Wright, who played keyboards for both George Harrison and Ringo Starr, Laurence Juber, lead guitarist for Paul McCartney’s band Wings, and Grammy-winning producer Russ Titelman, who produced Harrison’s self-titled album in 1979.

“The Beatles’ popularity has never faded and we’re thrilled to host this major celebration of the iconic band here in Westchester County,” said Astorino.

“An event like The Fest is a great example of the kind of exciting attractions that we like to bring to Westchester,” added Natasha Caputo, Director of Westchester County Tourism. “We are enthusiastic about the upcoming convention and look forward to the buzz surrounding this phenomenal celebration.”

Dare we say, "Let it Be?"
