Bill Powers has been an active civic member for all of his adult life. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Peekskill St. Patrick's Parade Committee. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chairman of Peekskill Celebration, and Vice Chairman of the Peekskill St. Patrick's Parade Committee. He currently runs his own public relations and TV production company, Powers PR Video. He is an Emmy-nominated TV producer, Telly Award winner, and Beacon Award winner. He is also a published writer and photographer and was selected as the 2007 Grand Marshal for the Peekskill St. Patrick's Parade. Professionally, he has held positions at the City of New Rochelle, Cablevision and the Chamber of Commerce, generally with a focus on public relations.
